No fewer than 30 persons were killed in the early morning blast at the Madagali Central Market in Madagali, Adamawa State on Friday, the Nigerian Army has said.
The attack was carried out by two female bombers.
The spokesman of the Nigerian Army in the area, Major Badare Akintoye, gave the casualty figure.
The National Emergency Management Agency has earlier released the figure of the wounded.
NEMA said 67 persons were injured and are receiving treatment in the hospital.
Though no group or individual has claimed responsibility for the blast, it has the imprint of the Boko Haram terrorist group.
Boko Haram had carried out several attacks in the area in the past.
